District of Columbia Fire Department Engine 32 Truck 16

On May 7, 2010, members of E-32, T-16 platoon #2 responde first due to a reported house fire at 3005 30th Street S.E. Upon arrival units were met with fire showing from the basement of a 1 story house. The crew of E-32 went to work laying a supply line, stretching a 1 1/2" preconnect to the first floor basement door to protect the first floor. Truck 16 crew was at work searching, ventilating and checking for extension while the roof team was busy throwing multiple ladders, controlling utlities, and cutting bars from basement windows as well as ventilating. The box was eventually held to one and one while the crews went to work on an extensive overhaul.
