District of Columbia Fire Department Engine 32 Truck 16

At 1910, Units with the 3rd Battalion Fire Chief Responded for the building fire. Engine 15 arrived on the scene side A of a four story apartment building and reported  heavy fire showing Side A and B. Heavy fire was found in an apartment on the top floor. Units had the fire knocked down in 10 minutes. Engine 32 arrived third due and laid out and advanced the 200 foot 1-1/2 crosslay. Truck 16 threw multiple ground ladders, raised the aerial and performed ventilation. The fire displaced 8 residents that were sheltered in the Mass Cassulty Bus for a short time until the arrival of the American Red Cross.
