District of Columbia Fire Department Engine 32 Truck 16

At 1619 hrs Truck 16 went first due for the apartment at 3245 23rd ST SE. Truck 16 arrived to find smoke showing from the three story apartment building. Truck 16 forced entry, searched and vented.  Units found a small fire on the first floor which was quickly extiushed.While the roof team threw multiple ground ladders and assisted several occupants of an apartment above the fire down ladders. Battalion 6 held Engine 25, Truck 16 and Truck 08 to assist in removing smoke from the building.
