District of Columbia Fire Department Engine 32 Truck 16

At 0631 hrs Engine 32 and Truck 16 both went second due with the 3rd Battalion for the report of the house in the 3300 block of 11th Pl SE. Units arrived to find smoke showing and found a fire in a bedroom which was knocked down quickly. Units operating discovered a victim who was quickly removed and transported to Children's Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. A Engine 32 advanced the 1 ½. Truck 16 raised several ladders, shut off the utilities, searched and vented. The assignment was held to one and one.
